Scenic China Tour 11 Days(Beijing,
Xi'an, Guilin, Shanghai)
Day 1 Arrive in Beijing (D)
Arrive at the Beijing Capital International Airport, where you will be
greeted by our tour guide and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 Beijing (B,L,D)
Morning trip to the well-known Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square
in the world. Followed by the visit of the Forbidden City, the highlight
of today. This was the palace for 24 Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors who
ruled China for over 500 years. Visit the Summer Palace, the famous resort
of Empress Dowager Ci Xi. Feast your eyes on the Long Corridor, Longevity
Hill, and Kunming Lake. Then visit the Temple of Heaven, the country's
largest temple complex, where Ming and Qing monarchs prayed for good harvests.
Enjoy an evening of traditional Chinese culture with Beijing Opera show.
Day 3 Beijing (B,L,D)
Morning tour to the magnificent Great Wall, the only man-made object that
can be observed from the moon; and one of the world's most popular tourist
attractions. After lunch, drive to the Ming Tombs, the last resting place
of the 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Enjoy Peking Duck dinner.
Day 4 Beijing (B)
Free at leisure for the whole day.
Day 5 Beijing- Xi'an (B,L,D)
Take a flight to the ancient city Xi'an, which was once vied with Rome
and later Constantinople for the title of greatest city in the world.
Upon arrival, visit the Shangxi History Museum. The whole collection of
the museum vividly reflects China's ancient history from the primitive
society to the Tang Dynasty. Enjoy a good night of Tang Dynasty Dinner
Show.
Day 6 Xi'an (B,L,D)
Day tour to the most important archeological discovery the life-size and
lifelike Terracotta Army, acclaimed as the Eighth Wonder of the World,
and the old imperial bathhouse of the Huaqing Hot Springs, a used-to-be
Tang-dynasty pleasure resort. Followed by the visit of the Banpo Neolithic
Museum. Dumpling Banquet dinner has been arranged tonight.
Day 7 Xi'an -Guilin (B,L,D)
Pay a visit to the City Wall, one of the few ancient city walls still
visible in China; and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Then fly to Guilin.
Day 8 Guilin
(B,L,D)
Take a boat cruise along the Li River to Yangshuo and enjoy the picturesque
scenery on both sides.The 40-mile journey to Yangshuo glides through a
landscape of the natural beauty of mist shrouded crags and bamboo groves,
which have inspired painters and poets for many centuries.
Day 9 Guilin-Shanghai (B,L,D)
Today, you will visit the Reed Flute Cave, the fairyland known as the
art gallery of the nature, and other local scenic spots. Fly to Shanghai
in late afternoon. Take a tour of the Oriental Pearl Tower to have bird's
eye view of Shanghai.
Day 10 Shanghai (B,L,D)
In the morning, go to the Bund on the waterfront lined with colonial buildings
and look into China's future across the river at the skylines of the New
Shanghai; and Yu Garden, where old Shanghai still retains its charm. Then
explore "Pedestrian Only" Nanjing Road, attracting more than
1 million visitors every day.
Day 11 Shanghai-Home (B)
After breakfast you will take a departure transfer to the airport for
the flight back home.
