Itinerary
Day 1 Shanghai (D)
On arrival, transfer to the 4 star Grand You You Hotel.
Day 2 Shanghai (B/L/D)
Today's tour includes visits to the Bund, Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. Your night tour includes a visit to the Oriental Pearl Tower (third highest tower in the world), for spectacular views of the city by night.
Day 3 Shanghai - Zhouzhuang - Shanghai (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to the ancient river town of Zhouzhuang with its arched stone bridges spanning small canals. After lunch return by coach to Shanghai.
Day 4 Shanghai - Xi'an (B/L/D)
Morning flight to Xi'an. On arrival visit the Bell and Drum Towers, the Moslem Quarter, the City Wall and the Shaanxi Museum. Stay at the 4 star Jianguo Hotel.
Day 5 Xi'an (B/L/D)
Morning tour to the famous Terracotta Warriors. After lunch visit the Banpo Museum on the site of 6,000 year old Banpo Village.
Day 6 Xi'an - Luoyang (B/L/D)
Mid morning transfer to board your express train to Luoyang. On arrival visit the Luoyang Museum. Overnight stay at the 4 star Luo Yang Hotel.
Day 7 Luoyang - Dengfeng (B/L/D)
Morning visit to White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist temple constructed in China, and Longmen Grottoes, one of China's greatest cultural treasures. Proceed to Dengfeng. Stay at the Tien Zhong Hotel.
Day 8 Dengfeng - Zhengzhou (B/L/D)
After break-fast, visit the Shaolin Monastery - the birth-place of China's martial arts tradition. After lunch continue to Zhengzhou to stay at the 4 star Red Coral Hotel.
Day 9 Zhengzhou - Kaifeng - Zhengzhou (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to the historic city of Kaifeng, where your tour includes visits to the Iron Pagoda, Dragon Pavilion, and the Xiangguo and Baogong Temples. Return to Zhengzhou.
Day 10 Zhengzhou - Beijing (B/L)
This morning's tour includes a visit to the Henan Provincial Museum. After lunch, drive to the Yellow River to see spectacular flood protection embankments. Overnight by train to Beijing in a four berth soft-sleeper compartment.
Day 11 Beijing (L/D)
Arrive early in the morning and visit the Temple of Heaven, en-route to the luxury 5 star King Wing Hot Springs Hotel. L/D
Day 12 Beijing (B/L/D)
Morning tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. After lunch visit the Summer Palace. Your evening entertainment is an exciting Chinese Acrobatic Show.
Day13 Beijing (B/L/D)
In the morning travel to China's most famous icon, the Great Wall at Badaling. After lunch visit the Ming Dynasty Tombs and a cloisonn谷 factory. For dinner enjoy world famous Peking Duck.
Day 14 Beijing (B)
Day free for exploration or shopping in this exciting city.
Day 15 Beijing - Australia (B)
Morning free before flying back to home.
Day 16 Australia
Arrive back home.
