Itinerary
Day 1 Shanghai (D)
On arrival, transfer to the 4 star Grand You You Hotel.
Day 2 Shanghai (B/L/D)
Today's tour includes visits to the Bund, Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. Your night tour of Shanghai, includes a visit to the Oriental Pearl Tower (third highest tower in the world), for spectacular views of the city by night.
Day 3 Shanghai - Huangshan City (B/L/D)
After breakfast fly to Huangshan City (Tunxi). On arrival, tour the well-preserved houses of the ancient town of Tunxi. Overnight accommo-dation at the Taoyuan Hotel.
Day 4 Huangshan (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to the World Heritage listed Huangshan National Park. Take the cable car up the mountain to enjoy magnificent scenery. Rest of the day free to meander around the various lookouts of the summit area. Overnight stay at the Beihai Hotel.
Day 5 Huangshan - Shengdu - Qiandaohu (B/L/D)
Morning drive to Shengdu by coach. After lunch continue on to the picturesque Thousand Islands Lake. Overnight at the Xindao Hotel in Qiandaohu.
Day 6 Qiandaohu - Yaolin - Hangzhou (B/L/D)
This morning drive to the Yaolin Wonderland area to see spectacular caves with beautifully illu-minated stalactite and stalagmite formations. After lunch journey onward to Hangzhou, and visit Lingyin Temple and the Six Harmonies Pagoda. Stay at the 4 star Novotel Hotel.
Day 7 Hangzhou (B/L/D)
In the morning enjoy a cruise on the famous West Lake, before visiting the Temple of Yuefei. After lunch visit one of Hangzhou's famous tea plantations.
Day 8 Hangzhou - Zhouzhuang - Suzhou (B/L/D)
In the morning drive to Zhouzhuang, with its traditional houses and arched stone bridges crossing over small canals. After lunch continue on to the canal city of Suzhou and visit the Humble Administrator's Garden. Evening music and dance performances in the Fisherman's Garden, includes Shanghai Opera and traditional folk singing. Overnight at the 4 star New City Garden Hotel.
Day 9 Suzhou - Wuxi - Nanjing (B/L/D)
Morning stop at a silk factory before continuing by coach to Wuxi, to visit the magnificent Taihu Lake before lunch. In the afternoon, continue on to the former Chinese capital city of Nanjing. Stay at the 5 star Hilton International Hotel
Day 10 Nanjing (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Yangtze River Bridge, Xuanwu Lake and the well preserved City Wall. In the afternoon visit the Confucian Temple area of the city, and the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yatsen. Tonight, you'll enjoy a sumptuous dinner at Nanjing's revolving restaurant on top of one of the city's tallest buildings.
Day 11 Nanjing - Australia (B)
Day free for fur-ther exploration or shopping, until your return flight to home.
Day 12 Australia
Arrive back home.
