The scenic beauty of the mountain and river landscape of the Guilin area, which has inspired so many Chinese landscape artists, will provide a spectacular introduction to this tour. Itinerary
Day 1 Guangzhou (D)
On arrival transfer to the 4 star Landmark Hotel.
Day 2 Guangzhou - Guilin (B/L/D)
Morning tour of Guangzhou (Canton). After lunch fly to Guilin. Transfer to the 4 star Park Hotel.
Day 3 Guilin (B/L/D)
After breakfast, board a Li River cruise boat for the scenic journey to Yangshuo. On arrival, spend some time exploring this small market town. In the afternoon, drive back to Guilin through delightful countryside.
Day 4 Guilin - Chengdu (B/L/D)
Morning visit to the beautiful Reed Flute Caves, and Fubo Hill for views of Guilin and surrounding country-side. Late afternoon flight to Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province. On arrival, transfer to the 4 star Amara Hotel.
Day 5 Chengdu - Lhasa (B/L/D)
Morning free, until your mid-morning flight to Lhasa. On arrival, transfer to the Tibet Hotel. Your first day in Lhasa is at a leisurely pace to allow you to adjust to the high altitude.
Day 6 Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today's tour will take you to the amazing Potala Palace that has dominated the Lhasa skyline for well over 300 years. Later you'll visit Barkhor Street, with its hive of mar-ket activities and the 1,300 year old Jokhang Temple, one of Tibet's holiest shrines.
Day 7 Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you'll visit Sera Monastery, the Tibetan Medical Centre and a carpet factory.
Day 8 Lhasa - Shigatse (B/L/D)
Travel by coach over spectacular mountain passes to Shigatse. On the way you will pass picturesque Yamdrok Lake and visit the Palkhor Monastery at Gyantse. Stay at the Shigatse Hotel.
Day 9 Shigatse - Lhasa (B/L/D)
Morning visit to the 15th century Tashilhunpo Monastery. Return to Lhasa by coach in the afternoon, via the new Friendship Highway.
Day 10 Lhasa (B/L/D)
Visit Drepung Monastery and Norbulingka Palace.
Day 11 Lhasa - Chengdu (B/L/D)
Morning flight to Chengdu. You will pay a visit to Du Fu Cottage and Wuhou Temple, en-route to the 4 star Amara Hotel.
Day 12 Chengdu (B/L/D)
Visit the Panda Research Centre, before travelling to the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.
Day 13 Chengdu - Shanghai (B/L/D)
After breakfast fly to Shanghai. Afternoon free to explore this exciting city. Our evening tour includes a visit to the Oriental Pearl Tower (third highest tower in the world), for spectacular views of the city by night.
Day 14 Shanghai - Australia (B/L)
Today's tour includes visits to the Bund, the Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. After lunch, transfer to Shanghai Airport for your return flight to home. B/L
Day 15 Australia
Arrive back in home.
